Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Straight from Messinia
Honest Toil is a small, collaborative project based just south of Kyparissia in Messinia, Peloponnese, Greece. Run by Tom, Juli and Louis, with the help of family, friends and neighbours during the harvest, Honest Toil is proof that great olive oil comes from people who truly care.
What Makes It Special
Alongside their own groves, Honest Toil work closely with other small-scale local growers, supporting the traditional Messinian harvest and keeping local livelihoods alive. Every drop of their olive oil is:
- From the latest harvest – November/December 2024.
- Cold-pressed immediately after picking to lock in flavour.
- Completely unblended and unfiltered, with no shortcuts.
- Rich and vibrant in flavour – expect a fresh cut grass punch and peppery finish.
- Top quality – with naturally low acidity (0.2–0.3%) and high polyphenols (550mg/kg).
This is olive oil that’s as good — and as honest — as it gets.
Sustainability at the Core
Honest Toil don’t just make olive oil; they do it the right way. Their practices include:
- Zero waste – olive pulp is reused or composted.
- Plastic-free packaging – glass, cans and biodegradable materials.
- Supporting small growers – preserving biodiversity and traditional methods.
- Direct distribution – cutting out unnecessary middle steps for minimal impact.
